There was all the hype and hooplah even before a single ball was bowled. There were some who heralded this generation of Indian cricketers as the ones who would match Australians evenly or perhaps even de-throne them. There were exchange of words between the skippers. Some of the 'team' members of the younger brigade made statements such as 'The Aussies will be playing a 15 member 'team' this time' or 'If T20 is history, so is your world cup victory few months ago'. Well everyone was waiting for the game to begin. It did eventually, with a bang, at least not from the Indian perspective.
